Permissions
Pigeon registers Craft user permissions so you can give each team member exactly the access they need. Assign them per user group under Settings → Users (multi-user editions) or per user.

Access Pigeon | Read the control-panel inbox and view threads. |
Manage threads | Reply, add internal notes, and change thread status. Includes read access. |
Assign threads (nested) | Assign threads to staff. Nested under Manage threads. |
Manage settings | Edit the plugin settings. |
Visibility rules
- Front-end and guest queries are always scoped to the caller’s own participant record — a user can only ever see threads they’re part of, and a guest only the thread their token unlocks.
- Internal notes are hidden from anyone without Manage threads.
- Admins implicitly have full access.
